The facade of 219 Bowery still displays the ghosts of the Star Restaurant & Bar Equipment. Advertising “Coffee Urns” “Steam Tables” “Sinks & Drainboards” and “Bar Benches” for sale, they also did repairs; “All Kitchen Equip. Rebuilt”.

The above photo was taken in 2018. It is currently home to “Time To Be Happy Gallery” which has kept the right and left hand ghost signs but has removed the center panel.

The 1940s NYC tax photo for 219 Bowery shows the store in operation with coffee urns available along with “Metal Counters” “Fruit Cooler” “Fountains” “Sinks, Hood”.
